There are times in life when I don't do so well. I appear to be upbeat all the time, but inside I cry, as do many other people I'm sure. I try to be positive at all times, but "all times" is totally impossible, and whenever I might get a bit "down", it seems there is always something to lift me up, if I search for it. Or perhaps I may come across it accidentally. Or, perhaps I was searching unconsciously, and that is the "accident" I come across.
Although I am not especially a religious person, today I was doing some early morning channel flipping, and came across a TV evangelist who, along with his wife, was preaching "The Secret". Not the popular best-seller book as we know it, but the same idea only from the other book, the Bible. They spoke about thinking positive, and about thinking about what you WANT, and not about what you DON"T WANT, so that it will come to you. I don't especially mean just material things, but spiritual and emotional as well. Of course, most of us know that secret already, and know that it works if one is consistent with the WANT, or GOOD thoughts. It's just that sometimes we get lost in daily "things" and forget to think the positive way. I do. So today I'm back on the positive track, and I do feel much better already. If you have been down lately, I hope you can get your spirit uplifted in some way, to help you along life's rocky road and get yourself back on the positive track.
I did light a candle yesterday, and said a small prayer for all my glitter fristers.
Above is a small glittery wall hanging gifted to me by Oceandreamer. It came at a time when I didn't especially "need" it, and although I truly appreciated it as a gift, it sat around awhile. Yesterday I "needed" it, and I decided to put some bling on it (it was all white glitter), and now I'm going to either hang it here at home or take it to work and hang it near my desk, to help me remember that life, even though it deals a bad hand at times, really is GOOD!
Today, I'm off to fill two shoe boxes with items to give to a person I know who is affiliated with the Bethlehem Centre, and is collecting these filled boxes for abused and neglected children who have been taken into protective custody. And I will feel uplifted about that, too! Life really is good! REMEMBER VETERANS EVERYWHERE. GOD BLESS THEM FOR THEIR BRAVERY.
SUNDAY BLESSINGS TO YOU ALL.

I am glad you are feeling celebratory toward the day. You seem to have found a mechanism to clear the dark clouds away.
I suffer from cyclical depression. I have yet to find a way to let the sun shine though. i just tough it out.
We all need to know or find that which inspres us or helps bring us to a more positive place...I realize it is different for everyone. So glad you found yours today, my dear.
What a sweet and inspiring post. I enjoyed your Sunday Lesson. I always enjoy your comments to me. Thanks.
Glad to hear you not feeling so down. Love Hugs and Blessings to you.
You're so right - we all tend to get caught up in everyday stuff and sometimes forget to keep on the positive track. Reading this made me feel good, and made me remember we all go through the same things. I'm glad you're feeling positive again and you've just passed it on to me.
you are a sweet heart, you truly are... did you know that it was the dark of the moon a few days ago.. and a very, very strong one, it affected many of us 'sensitives'.. and you are so much like me... and thankYOU so much for lighting that candle... your little tea-light was in the 'cave'w with me xoxo
Dear Judie...I certainly understand exactly how you feel. This is a great lesson. We have to always be aware of the things around us ..the Universe has a way of showing us , if we only pay attention. You paid attention! Love and Peace ,my friend!
God often suprises us with just the thought we need but never expected to have.
And a thousand blessings to you Judie! You are an inspiration!!
My sweet friend...you are right in that we all have those dark days, those days when no matter how hard we try to appear otherwise, they are there. It gives us a balance in some ways...and truly tells us how much we need to appreciate the real light we DO have in our lives. I am truly glad you are embracing that light and if that wee sign serves to remind you...well i love that.
Sending you hugs and love,
Lisa
XOXOXO
What a beautiful person you are!! Donating to abused children at a shelter. That is one of the things that is good about life, good about your "lesson"...you know that you have and others do not. So you opened your heart to those who are need.
We have down days and we feel sad and we cry. But we need those times as much as the "up" times or we don't appreciate the up times for what they give us.
Life is good my dear. It most certainly is!
Thanks for providing the happy 'accident' of sharing that message - the one that I needed to find tonight.
You're the best and you are right (and Lisa, too) Life IS good - especially with such glitter fristers around~xOxOx
I think sometimes that people forget that many of those mind body & spirit type books such as the bestselling "Secret" are taking information that is available in the bible for all those who seek to find it.
I like the tree you have to hug on your sidebar Judie. :) he's very handsome..
I think this life we all lead tears at a sound spirit and we feel sad or overwhelmed. I wish it was days like that when I could hold your hand and cheer you up, because in the silliness of life.. you're my reason to smile!
Peace and hugs, Kai xx
Judie...life is good. We really only need to pause a moment and reflect.
Sending love

Sending you goooood vibes, Judie. Certainly have ups and downs here, too. The last ten months or so, I've been reading Byron Katie's stuff. Those 4 little questions from her "The Work" sooooo help me shift sometimes. She's got some amazing video of working people thru the questions posted on her blog:

The one that really gets me every time is this one:

Anyway, thought to share her work in case you hadn't already stumbled upon it. Sometimes those 4 questions really help me let the light break thru...
miracles to you!!

Lovely words.
