THE LAST OF 0 - SEVEN...

These pictures were taken Sunday afternoon. It was extremely windy and we don't usually have a "surf's up" here, but there was one this time. Not exactly Maui or even East Coast Florida but it was certainly different for the usually calm Gulf waters. I couldn't stay out on the beach long because the sand was blowing so hard it was biting. As you can see, there were not too many beachgoers. Later, a tornado came through and flattened a jail in a neighboring county. Temps are cold (to me), about 45 degrees, but we will have high 70's again by mid week. That's the Christmas season in the sub tropics!
Even Johnny looks a bit hunched against the chill. It was funny watching the gulls get pushed around by the wind.


This green water is usually blue. If you enlarge this one, you can really see how the wind is pushing the surf as it rolls over.

This will be my last post for this year. Taking a blogging break since I'm off work until January and maybe I can get some art and writing done. I will still be visiting blogs though, and of course my email is always open. I wanted to post the lovely holiday cards I've been receiving as a sidebar decor, but....drat....my scanner seems to have bit the dust! Oh, Santa baby...
