A NEW BEGINNING......A POSITIVE OUTLOOK

The Green Man is the first new year addition to my yard, hanging on my fence, hiding just behind the fronds of a gentle Areca palm. He was gifted to me and made by the talented Jane, Pottery Instructor. I placed him there to be the God of the Plants and watch over them so they will be protected, grow, and provide food, shade and homes for little birds and insects. I have no doubt there will soon be a territorial fight between two lizards who will covet his protection as their new home.

As this new year begins, I consider how fortunate I am for the friends I have found in this blogging cyberland, and not being an exceptionally wordy person, and knowing I cannot do anything about the sad things that go on upon our planet even if I comment about them, I simply offer these words of another with which to start your own New Year:

from Russia, Elina Kunikeeva

I WISH YOU...

HAPPINESS DEEP DOWN WITHIN

SERENITY WITH EACH SUNRISE

SUCCESS IN EACH FACET OF YOUR LIFE

FAMILY BESIDE YOU

CLOSE AND CARING FRIENDS

HEALTH INSIDE YOU

LOVE THAT NEVER ENDS

SPECIAL MEMORIES OF ALL THE YESTERDAYS

A BRIGHT TODAY WITH MUCH TO BE THANKFUL FOR

A PATH THAT LEADS TO BEAUTIFUL TOMORROWS

DREAMS THAT DO THEIR BEST TO COME TRUE

APPRECIATION OF ALL THE WONDERFUL THINGS AROUND YOU

and I will return soon..........

Welcome back. I hope you had a lovely rest from blogging.

I certainly enjoy your blog postings. Anything I can do the increase my artistic literacy is good for me.

I am you and others have never heard of Oscar Peterson. If you were Jazz fans you would have. He worked a lot in the US and play with all the great jazz musician.

I am not a stamp collector. Canada publishes lots of limited issue stamps honouring lots of individuals and events. They are all little works of art.
