IT'S BABY BIRD SEASON

Only a mother and a bird lover would think these are beautiful creatures. And I'm both. Of course, I think vultures are beautiful creatures too! :)

To think those ugly babies grow up to be beautiful birds.

I think they're sort of cute but mostly because they're lavender!! The quote you have at the bottom is great....and so true!

Actually, I think there is some real beauty in those little guys! I especially like what you did with the colors.

Yes the quote is good!!

Never judge a bird by it's cover... Okay..your calling is to be a wildlife artist. K'? Love that artist quote!

I think they're quite lovely how you portrayed them. You did some outstanding shading in that piece.

You gave the cygnet in the front a look that seems so say," So what do you think? Will I ever be a beautiful swan?"

Precious ..... and so ugly , they're cute as Gemma said , but they will be beautiful one day. I'm one of those people who find vultures beautiful too.

Yuck .... that dreaded pink stuff , we've been dosing our share too. Jewel hated it , I had to pour in her mouth and hold her mouth shut til she swallowed it.

We did find a easy way to get Sweet Baby J to take his , just put the dose in a nipple and he would suck it right down ...... but the wrost battle was getting Curious J to take his .... begging , bribing and sometimes force ..... so glad they've finished the dreaded pink stuff.

Judie, thank you for your kind well-ness vibes :) I'm on the mend here.

Oh, I looooove these baby birds. I think they are beautiful -- the way you did them is beautiful. Do you get lots of different kinds of baby birds near you? Are you able to photo them? I always thought it would be so great to get photos -- but guessing you'd need a really good zoooooom lens?

Anyway, much gratitude and lots of miracles to you!

I was just thinking that you would probably really like the turkey vultures that have come into the city of Bismarck in recent years. (They used to only roost by the Missouri River.) They freak me out and creep me out but I have been reading about them and trying to like them. I was going to post about them last summer but didn't. I will this summer. Tell me, bird lover, what should I love about them?

Well I think they're beautiful...but then I'm a bird lover and a mother - though not theirs. What was wrong with that Mama Duckling, anyway? You'd think she's have loved that lil guy even if he didn't look like her fuzzy ducklings - sheesh...
I agree with Pammie - think you're definitely quite a wildlife artist.
Love the quote!
