LIKE AN UNTITLED PAINTING, AN UNTITLED POST...

Instead of any "traditional" Easter dinner, we had stone crab claws. It doesn't get much better than that! Sorry, I didn't save you one...

Yesterday was my last life drawing class; there will probably not be another until fall. I totally enjoyed every class and I'm sorry to see it end. It was such a pleasure to draw with others in a quiet setting, just some soft music in the background. Below I have posted just two of the quick sketches we did. Obviously I need lots and lots of practice yet, but I'll get there one day. Hands are still very hard for me. Well, and toes, and arms, and faces, and ears, and...and...well, you know.

And....now I must say goodbye for awhile. The Little Room for Art will be closed until after April 5. Life just gets in the way, or is it blogging that gets in the way of life? Either way, there are things I must do so be sweet and I'll see you all soon. I'll still be visiting though, and my email is always open.

.........Be like a mountain in the wind
Do you notice how it moves? There are sweet illusions
that arrive to lure you away.........Jelaluddin Rumi

As one who can't draw a stick figure I think you do a great job.

Wow, Judie, you have done so much art since I was here last. It all looks so great and you do so many different things! I love it. I don't get around to blogs like I used to but I have decided to take the links off my blog and put them back after I've shortened the list. Glitter sisters and soulcollagers. I think that will be my new criteria. lol There just isn't time for anyone else. :)

Your life drawings are sooooo interesting -- what fun it must be to take a class like that. I keep thinking maybe soon...there was rumor of a life drawing class somewhere here on the island... Also looooove your "closed" illustration -- brillant! And I'm sooooo glad you liked the birdies :) I forgot that I have two other cards here for you -- postcards that were given to me along the way with vintage bird illustration and then another of this amazing quilted bird piece... will eventually send them along, too -- but you can see the quilted pieces online at:

Amazing pieces...
miracles to you!!

And I hope your "recess" will be a wonderful one!

BTW: The Easter Flower Arrangement pictures were actually newly posted. The ones I posted last year were ALL different photo's than this most recent one...I LOVED this arrangement so much that I took about 100 pictures of it from all angles....lol!
Thanks for your lovely words, my dear....!
Wnjoy your time away.

Judie , Your drawings are great , it's just that inner critic / monster that makes you think they're never good enough.

Hope you enjoy your blogging break.

Have a peaceful rest and get a lot done that will really make a difference. We have to make time sometimes.

And little carving tools make eraser stamp carving a breeze!

Your art in any form never ceases to astound me. The life drawings really are fantastic.
Stepping away for a bit is good to do now and then. Sometimes it can just be to refocus. Whatever you're doing I hope it contains the word FUN too!

I am finally catching up! see you have been away but must be back soon... it is nearly April 5th...
I love your Rumi quote - .. We have a Harley Davidson, that is why we want to go to Sturgis... but maybe I can squeeze in a trip to Daytona :) , I don't think I would have to twist Joe's arm too much.. but of course, the trip is still in the wind.. first of all I must get my Cornwall trip organized for next year and if we have any money left, then US it will be in 2010... boy, what a comment.
Thanks for the comments and support over the past weeks with the birth of my grandson... I am finally getting my head back to earth :)
love & hugs to you missy xoxo

oh & I think your drawings are pretty damn good! make sure you display them somewhere!
